winch lab
Here we are measuring the voltage that runs threw the motor.
Battery
This is the battery that powers the motor. It's a 1500mah battery.

This what the motor is trying to pull up. We are trying to pull 100 pounds with this mechanism. It's powered by only one motor.
Geer and axle.
Here is the gear that will pull it all up. As the axles spins with the wheel the string keep winding up and pulling the weight.
Activity 1.25 Mechanical Efficiency worksheet.
This are the calculations we did for the winch lab. We learned how to calculate the all the things that the witch does so it can lift weights. It was very interesting to know what takes place during the lifting of the weights. I was also have come to a conclusions that making a mechanism to lift weight has a lot of math involved in it. It's good that engineers are up to the challenge.
Analysis
This is the file were it shows all the work that we had to do to. I think that we should of been taught more about the multimeter so we could of done this right. I believe that we need to ask more questions. I think that we also could of make the machine better because they were a bit loose. We learned what you need to get a good efficiency we just couldn't use the multimeter. Now we now and if I could do this lab again I would figure out everything about the multimeter.
