Obective
Our team was given a assignment that simulates the sorting of recycled materials. To simulate the materials we were given 3 different types of marbles and a VEX kit to build what ever we wanted. The purpose was to make a machine that will sort the marbles by any way shape or form. with this we will have an idea of how real industrial machines work. At the bottom you will see our Brainstorming.
Custom Parts

Custom parts I think was my favorite thing about this project. We could make any part to help us with our problems we has with sorting the marbles. I like designing so that's why it was pretty cool. The fist custom part we made was because the marbles were to big for the part we originally picked. This custom part allowed us to let one marble out at a time. Without this part the marbles would have been all huddle up with each other and the light sensor would have not been able to read one by one

This custom part was bigger them expected. This piece was made when the marbles would fall of the side of our machine. The purpose of this machine was to keep the marbles inside the machines like it was meant to be. We measured the distance from the light sensor to the first custom part. That was meant to be our original distance and the radius of the shape was .7". Some how the size got doubled. The .7 became 1.4". It got pretty big. This cause us to shift everything over and make the piece work with our system. It got pretty crazy but we learn how to fix. This piece was now going between the hopper and the first custom piece like it was meant to be but we took some metal pieces out. It all turned out to be good and we got it done.

This is a light sensor. Usually it looks different we had to make it more flexible to fit it were we wanted it. We sorter the cables on to a light sensor and that fix our problem. At firt we taped it but it would shock us. That's why we had to sorter the sensor. It turned out to work better then we thought and it didn't give us any trouble. You could say that it was the piece with the less trouble.
conclusion
Many many things could have been dome different. Sadly I can't type them all. The one big thing was not joining in the design. I wasn't their the first day we made the original design. You could say that I didn't have a opinion on the design. Every time their was a problem i couldn't fix it because I would be changing their hole design. When I tried to make a correction they wouldn't agree because it would go against their plan. I guess I didn't know what was the purpose of their design till later in the project. Next time i need to be their and fix any problem that comes along. I help build the machine but I saw no reason for the design which as a builder is wrong. The good part was that i got more experience in building and knowing how code works. I would have to say that the part I failed on was the design. Next time ill try my best to give my design opinion and not just help out.
