Centroid
The centroid is used to calculate the center of and object. Why we have to find the center of an object? We find the centroid of an object so if you were to spin it it would all stop at the same time. With finding the centroid we could also put weight on an know were it's point of balance is.

This is the object that I had to find the centroid for. First you have to divide the object into 3 shaped. then you find the area off those objects. you do this do that the emty space you see will not affect you when finding that centroid.

The equation used to figure out the centroid is X= ExiAi / EAi and Y= EyiAi / EAi. This shows the X axis while the picture above on the right shows the Y axis of the shape. After we do all our math we end up X= 2.64 and Y= 3.375
X = 2.625 * 4.988 / 4.988 = 2.64 Y= 3.375 * 4.988 / 4.988= 3.375
X = 2.64 Y= 3.375

Conclusion
were this two points meet is were the centerer is. Now when you spin it the object will stop right away. If I were to do this again I would try to make a better object. I don't think it was very precise. Know i know how to find the center of an object and I can apply this when making a trus or even finding the center of any ordinaty object.
